Throughout this course we have read and listen to varying descriptions and interpretations of artwork. Now it’s time to practice describing what we see. Using the Kaltura feature (under the drop-down menu of the “Mashups” link record an audio description of an artwork from the collection of images in the following link. (A tutorial link will is included in the assignment.) Your audio description should not include the title of the artwork and artist until the end. An example can be heard here: listen to this “visual description”from the Museum of Modern Art. Could you see the work of art in your mind’s eye by the end? (Here’s the painting in the visual description—but listen before you look!). After recording your observations, post your submission and respond to at least two peers’ recordings 250 words minimum. Peer responses should listen to the image descriptions before looking at the image. Responses should elaborate on any missed details based on the image and description given. Did the descriptions illuminate any details you might have overlooked if not pointed out? All artwork submitted should include proper citation in APA format. Submit all work using the text submission window, as opposed to uploading word .doc or PDF files. This will ensure all students are able to read and respond to threads. https://www.slideshare.net/kriskoa/arh2050-discussion-6-image-collection?ref=https://palmbeachstate.blackboard.com/
